Review on πŸ”Š Cyber Acoustics CA-2014: Amplify Your Desktop Experience with Multimedia Computer Speakers by Chris Kirby

These speakers look pretty decent but the very short cables make them difficult to set up - but for $10 it could be worse - Class C!

Our Cyber Acoustics CA-2014 Multimedia Desktop Speakers Review. The cables are really ridiculously short. If you have time to shop, keep looking and make sure you get cables ahead of time, but definitely don't push yourself to spend more than $25 or so on these types of speaker accessories. Also, they look pretty good and sound good so far. Here are the pros and cons of .Pros and ConsCons1. It works if you place everything very close together. In my old setup the cables were about 6 feet long so I could position them anywhere on the tiered table I have, but with this one they have to be level or they just won't reach the jackport.2. The cable connecting the speakers is very short, so they can't be that far apart. The cords that connect to the desk are also very short (about 3 feet or so) so the desk must be either on top of the desk or directly under the speakers under the desk in order to reach it. The blue LED is a bit confusingPros1. They look great when installed (and since they're black, they don't look like cheap speakers).2. The slim design makes it easy to position behind your monitor for a surround sound effect (although you won't get anywhere else)3. Great price (at $10 it could be worse) 4. There is a headphone jack for connecting to speakers if you don't have a headphone jack on your computer, so that was a nice plus.5. So far the sound is fine (I have my monitor sound settings high and then I can set the speaker sound/volume to low). . But for my purposes it was still decent. Overall it worked as my desk is big enough to put everything on it and still have some work space. But if I had known the cords weren't really the standard 6-8 foot cords like my old ones I probably would have looked further but the ones with longer cords were either too busy in design or a different color and it cost more too to send back, so I decided to keep them for now - and since I definitely don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on computer speakers as fancy stereo gear (I'd rather buy shoes-P). I think at the super low retail price of $10 it could have been much, much worse! And it leaves room for upgrades if the need arises at some point, but I'll update as there are changes in functionality etc. Our rating: grade C or 3,125 stars!
