This was my first purchase/experience in the world of night vision and IR. I've had the pleasure of experimenting briefly with a redundant style night vision monocular, so my experience and exposure aren't great, but let me tell you this is the best value for money. If you are looking for an entry-level monocular, then this is it. The picture is clear. Easy focus adjustment on the fly when zooming in or when hitting it in a carry case. The lens cap fits snugly, which I like for protection. All controls feel comfortable. Once you get a chance to play, you'll easily spot the location of the buttons. Large selection range (color, black, IR and brightness). As for the zoom feature, I like how you can increase the zoom range as an integer value or in increments to ensure you don't go from 1x to 5x too quickly. The upside is that if you live in an urban area, different IR settings allow you to dim streetlights to minimize glare. I haven't had a chance to play around with the Wi-Fi capabilities yet. The settings menu is easy to navigate and the instructions are concise and clear. Easy setup and very easy to use. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to get into the night vision game. I really hope they come out with a smaller monocular that can be mounted on a helmet with night vision and infrared capabilities like this.
