Foam feels different than what came with the vacuum cleaner. The original was soft and dense. This one is solid and feels a bit "cheap". The filter element appears to be fine. Improved suction and vacuum odor reduction. The real culprit for the smell came from the hose not being able to unclog. The biggest design flaw. I called Shark, they sent me a new one and boom, all the smells are gone.
