No Instructions / Poor Quality Ink?

Would be great if it included instructions. The ink stone does not grind the ink stick well at all. I'm not getting much ink from it but I'm not sure if it's the stone thats too smooth or the ink just not made well.

Uses a lot of ink or paint, therefore may get messy
