Windows 10 - Convert VHS Tape to Digital

Works great with Windows 10. The software that comes with it is not very good, seems to be a very old Windows program. If you use it, the serial number to enter is not on the box (as the instructions say) but on the hard drive in a file called TVR25/SN.txt. No software or drivers on the CD are required. The device is basically a plug and play USB device. Just plug it into your computer and Windows will install the necessary drivers. It then appears in Device Manager as a camera with the name "USB2.0 PC Camera". Then just use the video editing software of your choice (instead of the software that comes with it). I've used several including; Handbrake, OBS Studio and VLC. Everything works fine and everything is free to download. Simply connect your device to your Windows 10 PC, let it install and set up, then select the video and audio input as "USB2.0 PC Camera" in your video editing software of choice. I've used this to convert about a dozen VHS videotapes to digital files, works great for this purpose. Note that the device has jacks and your VCR output will also have jacks. Therefore, you cannot connect this unit directly to a VCR. To connect your VCR to this unit you will need a male to male cable set. I've had them before, but if you don't have a set you'll have to buy a cheap set somewhere.
