Bearing failed after 25,000 miles

Beware there seems to be a plethora of contributors to this list with the usual quality control issues when it comes to Amazon (mine came from 4wscom). The bearing fails after 25,000 miles of normal road driving. This is a 2008 Jeep JK and by comparison the other 3 axles still have the OEM bearings/seals with 110,000 miles and are fine. There is a bunch of feedback here about bearing quality control issues which, in addition to my experience, leads me to believe that some suppliers may not be using Timken/Yukon bearings with this kit. I don't see the brand on the site at the time of writing this review but I bought it 5 years ago so the description on the site may have changed. But at the time I was under the impression it was a set of Yukon bearings. I will also add that I paid a lot of money for the two-day delivery due to the deadline. The delivery took much longer than 2 days. 2 stars only because it worked for a while.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Expensive
