Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Lisle 38350 Exhaust Hanger Removal: Effortless Exhaust System Maintenance Tool by Jay Kowal

Made the job easier but not easy

Installed a trailer hitch on my wife's car which required removing the exhaust pipe. Before purchasing this tool, I attempted to remove it from the hangers using a liquid wrench, crowbars, and wrenches (recommended in the hitch directions). This approach worked, but required a lot of effort. In one case it didn't work at all. I decided to spend $15 and buy them. In one case, this made removal fairly easy. This is a hanger that I was able to remove myself. The second suspension came loose with some effort. It was a stuck one that I couldn't remove with other tools. Even with this tool, it was quite painful. Not nearly as easy as you would like Lyle to believe. The third was not available at all with this tool. If you can't line it up properly, the tool is utterly useless. That happened to me. The hanger was where the tool should have been and I had to use other tools to get it off. I got a bit annoyed about buying this tool and then couldn't use it. This is most likely my first time not using this tool, so at $15 for a one-time use, it's a bit pricey. If you plan to remove the exhaust hangers several times and have clearance, this is a good investment.
