Review on ๐Ÿ”˜ Long-lasting Gloss and Protection: Optimum OB2008Q Opti-Bond Tire Gel - 32 oz. by Brian Wolf

Great product for the price.

I wanted a tire gel that would protect my tires without making them look unnaturally shiny and that was water based so I wouldn't have to worry about the tires darkening like regular tires do Use of solvent based gel passes tires. I use it straight from the bottle, undiluted, and leave it on the tires for a few minutes to soak into the rubber. After that, I wipe off the excess with a towel. The more you leave on the tires, the shinier they look. I don't like shine so I wipe off the excess, this also prevents the "bleed" and "bleed" that other people complain about in their reviews. If you wipe off the excess, you shouldn't have a problem with the gel coming off while you're driving. As for the water-based tire gel, I actually found it to be quite durable. I wear it with both my daily driver and my summer car which I only drive when the weather is nice. With my daily driver I've had at least 3 downpours that I've had to drive through after applying and I've driven through puddles on purpose to see how it holds up. When the tires got wet the water would collect in drops and the tire gel would last for almost 3 weeks before completely disappearing. It's been a few months on my summer car and the tires are still on my tires and they're that deep black you'd expect on new tires; whereas before they were slightly brown because I had tried other cleaners that didn't work as well. In the end I think this is a great product. Being water based I think it's pretty durable and I like that it doesn't give my tires a shiny look like many others do. However, if you want a glossy look, you can achieve that with this product by simply wiping and leaving or by applying more than one coat. Just be sure to wipe off excess gel between each applied layer or the gel will run off. The only other complaint I read in other reviews was that it was too thin and difficult to apply. It's thin and runs a little when poured onto a sponge, but it's not so thin that it's difficult to use. For the price I think the product is great and definitely worth a try.
