base in my jeep! suitable for marine electronics

fits for me! Just remember to increase the gain after installation. I like having good bass in my jeep and also that it's a marine model as rivers tend to carry water and my jeep loves rivers. It installed and works great with this harness: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004EYHEGG/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_12 We placed it under the back seat of the Wrangler and used the drain plugs to connect the power supply and RCA route cables under the jeep. I had to shorten the connector a bit for the power cord, but that was better than drilling new holes. We screwed it on so we had to drill the bed a bit for this. I like it better as a separate subwoofer for the amp, and I also like that it's hidden under the back seat of my 2001 Jeep Wrangler TJ. Other solutions weren't necessarily waterworthy, and many of them took up valuable space in the cabin or in the back seat of my Jeep, which I didn't want to give up. Ideal to simply hide it under the back seat. Some people put theirs under the driver or passenger seat, which will work as well. All I know is that water collects in there when you splash in a river or drive in the rain, so I wanted it higher on the back seat rail. I can still feel it from the front seat. I'll update this if I run into any issues, but so far so good!
