The legs extend and retract very smoothly and easily thanks to the large leg straps
I bought this tripod to mount a gimbal head for wildlife photography. It's very well done. The legs can be pulled in and out very gently and easily thanks to the large collars on the legs. It's not the kind of tripod you'd be happy to travel any distance with, but it's great gear for shooting close to your car. It's expensive but worth every dollar. I also bought an Induro BHD2 ball head for it and it's a fantastic combo. I am very happy that I bought this tripod. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.
