Review on Discontinued Genuine HeroBeam® Bike Lights Double Set - Get It Now! by Ryan Sandell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Best purchase I've made in a long time

I asked the question about 80-200 lumens seeming to be a bit dim (see Q&A) - I can tell you that this light is brighter than any of those "million lumen" lights I've purchased in the past. The reply from the seller came in an hour or two. So far so good, a seemingly honest and quick response. So I took a chance, ordered on 3/30 received on 4/1 (Prime), loaded in 3 AAA batteries - and was immediately pleased.EXACTLY as advertised and came in a nice box with foam cutouts and instructions that are actually helpful and worth keeping (battery replacement). For fifteen bucks this is the best purchase I've made in a long time: a new bike light AND a spare.HINT: Mount the flashlight backwards in the holder and flip the whole thing around - then, with the light mounted forward and pointed slightly downward, the center of gravity will be directly above the handlebar and the light won't droop as you ride. A bonus with this method is the tightening screw will now be on your side of the bike within easy reach if necessary. Test it out for yourself - a very solid setup. 5 stars.UPDATE: Rode a couple miles last night. No droop and, easy adjustments on the move, light was more than bright enough. Thumbs up.UPDATE: After 2.5 years one of the lights died. Its home was in the garage, used regularly, and exposed to the Florida heat near the (salt) water. The other light is kept in the house and works as if it's brand new. I still recommend this light and will purchase again when light number two dies - I'll let you know in a couple years.
