Review on ๐Ÿงฝ Joseph Joseph 85026 Edge Dish Brush with Sink Rest - Gray: The Ultimate Washing Solution! by Chad Siofele

What are good reviews?

I'm ashamed of the good reviews here. I wonder if these people really do the dishes. First, the bristles are incredibly soft, like a super soft toothbrush; So I think if you hand wash fine china it might be good for you. If, like the rest of us, you're trying to quickly and efficiently remove tough bits after cooking/eating, throw them in the dishwasher; this thing doesn't do its job at all. 2) The ergonomics of this thing actually hurts my wrist (and I'm young and don't have wrist issues) and decreases the amount of force you use to brush. The hanging spindle on the edge of the sink is cute and all (and literally the reason I bought it, along with the good reviews) but totally pointless considering that's exactly where you'll be holding your brush. As a result, you have to hold it lower, further degrading the ergonomics, and there's almost nothing to grab hold of or loosen your fingers around the object to be hung on the sink. The biggest flaw in terms of ergonomics is that the brush is convex/curved down and there is nothing to hold on to. all the way to the end, except for the last few inches (unless you might have the tiniest of hands and impossibly short fingers), which means that compared to the concave/iridescent design, the force you expend gets around the hard bits /Removing pieces from your plates is significantly reduced. As it is - if you hold it at the very end, that force is further reduced and just stresses the wrist. I really can't believe how poorly designed this brush is, not to mention that it's more expensive than the good brushes in the store. At least I thought it would be serviceable, but unfortunately it's not worth the sink space.

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Very expensive
