So far I'm very happy with this bag. I was unsure of the weather protection based on the reviews. So we used plastic boxes to store our bags and other essentials. We were caught in a heavy downpour and our boxes were slightly wet. We will pack this way every time we travel with a cargo bag. Not only did the boxes keep our stuff from getting wet, I think it helped to keep the bag fully stretched so the fabric didn't dangle or blow in the wind where it could bump against itself and potentially cause rips and tears.
