I belong to Cooks Illustrated online and always check their product reviews before I buy ANYTHING for my kitchen. I used to have micro planes, I donate them too. Every house should have one or two. It's the one Cook's Illustrated Buy Winner suggested, so it's working for me. Be sure to keep a hard plastic sleeve on it or it may bend in the dish drawer and eventually break - but sometimes other people in my kitchen didn't get that note. Wash it immediately after use, do not put anything else on it until it has a protective plastic sleeve.
