I'm very picky about how my displays look and unfortunately recently I've had to use adapters to convert video signals to convert the native signal in contrast quality. Working at 4k60 resolution in a wide color space I've had issues in the past with three different adapters giving me some variability but more importantly bleeding and haloing images to create high contrast. Here are some pros and cons of the CalDigit adapter: Pros: - No ghosting or jitter like I've seen in the past! - Fantastic build quality, beautiful aluminum finish and a strong and durable cable. - HDR works great, I can't say that about other adapters in the past. Cons: - A bit pricey compared to other adapters, but perfectly adequate. - The aluminum case gets warm during use, but that's to be expected with an active adapter. CalDigit just does it. Right, can't recommend it highly enough!
