Review on 🐠 Enhance Aquarium Health with Seachem MultiTest Iron Test Kit by Brad Schaefer

The test gives good readings, but there are many problems with it.

The test gives good readings, but there are many problems with this test set.1. Clarity of Instructions: Instructions are very poorly worded and generally a bit difficult to understand. Thank god they added photos to the instructions otherwise there would be a lot more confusion.2. Directional Measurements: The way it prompts you to take measurements is very imprecise for testing, and test results will vary between tests because of these inaccuracies. The first example is how you are asked to fill a test tray. It is said to fill the pipette twice to the bottom of the pipette bulb. I would find a numerical measurement, preferably in ml, much more accurate and consistent. A syringe would be more accurate for this test kit. Another imprecision of the test relates to low-level testing. When you fill a small test bottle, it simply tells you to fill it up until the water level is a centimeter or half an inch from the top. Again, the water volume in ml would be much more accurate and a syringe would be useful.3. Measurement Results: The table they give you to compare your tests is hard to read. That's nice in that it's a history chart where 0 is white and 2.0 is dark purple, but the color of the liquid is hard to compare to the chart. Cheap Parts: Low level test flasks have poor quality control and tend to have small variations. This isn't a problem until you realize that the cap on this little vial isn't watertight and only rests on top. If it falls, which happens with the slightest impact on the table, it will spill everywhere. I've used many test suites over the years, from Elos to Red Sea, from Salifert to API, and Seachem's test suite is probably the best. the hardest I've used of all. It may be accurate, but it's not an easy set to use.
