Gasket does not fit properly - Replacement Parts

Installed in 2005 Chrysler Town & Country. In fact the water pump is of high quality, the downside is the gasket that comes with the kit. Sloppy, almost too big for him. I had to use some clear silicone glue to get it to fit properly in the slot.
