I was refurbishing an old Win10 PC that didn't have Wi-Fi, so I bought this 802.11ac (v5) USB adapter because I have a v5 router and I also have a portable one My old laptop wanted to have an adapter for Wi-Fi. that there was no wifi. This product works literally 10 seconds after plugging it into my Win10 computer. I didn't even see it installed! My computer is about 60 feet from the router, but that was enough to get 38Mbps. I also installed it on my old Win7 laptop using the driver CD that came with it with no problems. This installation also went smoothly. I now have wifi that can be used for both laptop and desktop where I can't run ethernet. Great product at a great price, especially with the Black Friday sale.
