The comb looked and smelled great but after a few weeks one of the teeth broke off. It got caught in my strands and pulled out a lot of hair. I'm working hard to grow my 4c African American hair and it's really frustrating for me. I do not recommend. What a waste of money and now my hair is broken. Just threw it in the trash. UPDATE: I fished this comb out of the trash after trying to buy a plastic comb and seeing that they were worse. Plastic combs have combs on each tooth and I think they can actually wash your hair. So I asked my husband to fix the wooden comb by sanding down the chip to make it smooth again. I see an advantage in choosing this wooden comb over the plastic comb if you are willing to do a little work to smooth out the shavings that will inevitably appear.
