Solid Vegan Protein

This is my first vegan protein so I'm giving it 4/5 stars. If I try others I will update my review accordingly. I had to switch to vegan protein because my doctor and I suspect I've developed lactose sensitivity. I'm in my early 20s and have been exercising regularly for a number of years. Before that I used ON Gold Standard, Isopure, BSN. any whey or whey isolate, and I'm used to a sweet protein with a smooth texture. vegan protein, but I was more interested in the taste. I usually prefer chocolate based protein so of course I went for the chocolate variant and was pleasantly surprised. It has a rich chocolatey flavor that isn't chalky in my opinion and is fairly easy to put down. I don't care about graininess, but if I did I'd probably add some frozen fruit and make a smoothie out of it. A downside, if you consider it a downside at all, is that the powder is very fine. I suspect this is to make mixing in the shaker easier, but it will get on your hands, clothes, etc if you're not careful. I usually have to dry my hands after mixing a cocktail. The recommended amount of liquid is also 10-12 fl oz per scoop compared to 6-8 fl oz for some whey proteins - not a big deal, but you should drink a little more per shake. All in all, I am very satisfied with it as a whey protein alternative and it made it easier for me to switch to lactose-free. If you've been looking for a way to eliminate whey and lactose from your diet without sacrificing protein, this is a good place to start.
