Coating coming off: Accessories and parts

After tightening the first tab, the coating broke off. I taped the second tab around it but it still cracked and it took a while to get the adhesive off the tape from the torque. I should have ordered the chromed ones as they are useless and look like they will rust faster now with all the chipped surfaces.
