I bought this bag to replace a 15 year old plastic bag and worn cardboard sleeves that originally held my circular, stockinette and twin needles. The zippered pocket is great for storing embroidery needles, templates and a needle-sized tool. The valve easily accommodates my longest straight needles (16 inches long). My main complaint is that my avenues don't all have their own square pockets like some others have suggested, but I have more DPNs than avenues and I don't need too much. Overall, this is a great addition to pounding my needles with. I just want the middle row of pockets to be shorter to accommodate the DPNs without dropping them beyond their length, and to have more of it, this is how I can split the DPN of any size. I'm pretty sure it's not meant to hold all the needles. It's also a great organizational tool.
