I bought a pair of these - if you plan on using this to service your car battery while in storage - it will help. It's insufficient to charge a dead or weak car battery in any way resembling just-in-time charging, but it will certainly work just as well as more expensive/more powerful Ctek service chargers. A few weeks ago I was driving on the freeway for a long time - about 70 miles each way - then after coming home and unloading a few packages - I went out to gas up and came back home (probably 5 miles each route) and plugged it into this charger. It took about 6 hours for the charger to decide the battery was fully charged and went into trickle charge - this tells me that the Ctek charger is putting the battery at a slightly higher charge level than the car's own charging system. Can't comment on the reliability of this charger yet, but I also have this guy's older brother and he's going to be strong in a few years. I find that the larger Ctek's recovery function helps keep the old battery going - there's no such function on this model - but apart from the lower output power this unit looks well designed and built.
