REALLY difficult to install but I think it's better than being underpowered! Expect to put some back into closing your gates, they can no longer be moved with one hand. I installed them in May and they still feel strong and do their job well. Definitely better than clamping those heavy old gates with a vise, that's for sure! Be careful when installing, otherwise they will fall out. Other than that, these racks worked well on the tailgate of my 2000 Durango SLT.
