These hydraulic lifts will not fit my 2003 Durango. They seem to fit, but you have to slide them out of alignment because the ball angle bolt isn't the right angle. The head of the torx screw is then soft metal that is removed. I couldn't tighten them, and I can't take them off either because the torque screw broke. I have to drill them out.

Firstly, the fittings are very cheap and can be removed immediately. Installation took about an hour, it should have taken about 5 minutes, I've installed others before with no problems. REALLY difficult to install but I think it's better than being underpowered! Expect to put some back into closing your gates, they can no longer be moved with one hand. I installed them in May and they still feel strong and do their job well. Definitely better than clamping those heavy old gates with a vise, that's for sure! Be careful when installing, otherwise they will fall out. Other than that, these racks worked well on the tailgate of my 2000 Durango SLT.
