Review on πŸ’ͺ SNUG Fasteners SNG218 Stainless Screws: Superior Quality for All Your Fastening Needs by Shane Minter

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A threaded self-tapping screw digs in and moves on.

Since they are made of stainless steel, their main area of use will be outdoors - at least for me. So I tested them on treated 4WD vehicles. If you look at the tip of the screw, you can see that these are self-tapping screws - they have no play and no wandering. Standard square shank. I ran the bolt into a 4x4 first and stopped when it was flush. A deformation is visible at the hole of the square shank (photo no. 4). Then I unscrewed the screw and screwed it back in - and continued working. My intention was to bury him as much as possible. As the screw came out of the wood, the tip literally grabbed my bench and dunked it. It didn't take much effort to do that. This way they will penetrate deep and really capture. In the last two photos you can see how deep I went. I couldn't get the screw out this time - I rounded out the square hole when the screw was about 1" tall but still countersunk. Since most screws are only used once or twice, I don't think this is a big problem. No warping or breaking of the 20 bolts I screwed into the 4x4. I screwed 19 flush and then removed all. All can be reused I only lost one.
