After reading the reviews I expected it to be hard and rough and maybe even smell weird. I really like the smell and I don't find it harsh and harsh in a limited way. The only criticism is the placement of the hanging loop. I love hanging mine on a hook in the bathroom. I'm at least 5ft 7" tall and have to reach all the way out to hang things on the hook I have (on the top of the door) but when I hung it there it was a hair's breadth from the floor to touch I had to sew on a new loop. I probably didn't place my strap optimally, but at least it's not that close to the ground now. I plan to use them as my only top sheet in the summer since I live where it's very hot (and often humid). I love that it folds MUCH smaller than a terry cotton towel and also dries a lot quicker and absorbs better.
