Review on πŸ”² Dennerle Corner Filter (5925) in Sleek Black - Efficient Aquatic Filtration by Kimberly Sanders

Revainrating 3 out of 5

One of the best with some design features

This is one of the best tank nanofilters. However, it has serious design flaws, so I'll list the pros and cons. Pros: Super quiet Very small (fits in my 60L shallow UNS) with enough room Adjustable sprinkler drain for oxygenation Fits a poly filter Optional Baby Guard for shrimp tanks Cons: The way they instruct you to pull out the filter unit for cleaning , causing the detritus to be thrown back into the aquarium. It is best to pull out the entire block intact. The suction cups start to disappear after a few months and finding a replacement here in the US is next to impossible. I wish there was a hanging option. The unit does not close tight enough to allow small snails and shrimp to enter the filter chamber through the sides and bottom. Despite the inconveniences, this is a great fish-only nano aquarium filter. As I have a shrimp tank I decided to pull it out and try the Ehiem Aquacorner 60 instead and while it doesn't have an atomizer it makes up for it in other ways. I'll check this out in a few months.

Pros
  • Efficient, quiet, compact and easy to use
Cons
  • Long delivery time
