Review on Grafting Gardening Knife For Budding Pruning With Grafting Tape And Plant Labels/Tree Tags by Josh Long

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works very well for a manual pruner.

First thing I noticed is that the pruner is a painted grey. I originally thought it was chrome from a quick glance at the pictures on Revain. Upon looking at the pictures on Revain more carefully, I could tell it is not chrome. With that said, it is made of metal. It's very light weight and comfortable to grip. This is perfect for long pruning sessions. The blades are sharp and performed well on green limbs and branches. It also performed pretty well on harder brown limbs and branches. The best part of this pruner is the ratcheting action. You do not have to cut branches in one grip squeeze. Instead, you can squeeze once and let go of the handle, the pull again and it will start cutting where it left off. This makes pruning thicker/harder branches more manageable. As you can see from the pictures/video I was able to cut a branch that was over a half an inch thick. I imagine I can do thicker branches utilizing the ratcheting action. All in all, I am very satisfied with this product.

Bought this knife for husband to graft an avocado. He was so disappointed, as it should''ve made a sharp, clean cut and it didn''t...we should return it. Don''t recommend. Three stars is probably too generous.
