To be honest they look more like slippers than shoes. The fabric is mesh and very stretchy. You can see all your toes stretching through the fabric as you move. The sole is also slightly spongy, probably for comfort reasons. They are referred to as "running shoes" which is a dangerous claim. The elasticity makes the legs slip too much during normal walking. I would never try to walk in those things! There's just no stabilization. I ordered 10.5 4E and feel they are true to size. I've always appreciated that NB offers plus sizes. The insole is removable and I replaced mine with something that offers more arch support. Because of the material I don't see them lasting as long as I would like even when I'm not running them. I bought these because I needed something white and went well with jeans or shorts with "no show" socks. They do their job, but for $65 you can get better deals.
