These highlighters do not fully erase. You can still see a faint light after attempting to erase. I purchased a similar product originally to be able to compare brightness of colors (I like my highlighters bright/neon as opposed to dull) that leaves no trace of color when you erase. Another downside to the product is that once you use the eraser side you cannot color over the area again-however this has been the case for all of the erasable highlighter products I have tried thus far, so I don’t hold that against these. Since being able to erase was the entire reason for purchasing the product, I was pretty disappointed and rate the product a 2. It defeats the purpose of erasing if my paper is left feeling sloppy
