As you can see my particular 2003 Honda Accord has a cord coming out of the trunk BUT I don't need to look that up. I just have to be careful not to hit the car behind me. The camera is not adjustable, but at the right angle. Wiring Instructions: This camera has two wires coming from the camera (red and black thin wires) that connect directly to the license plate light wires BUT connect ALL the negatives there for the camera cable. (License plate light - black wire) So you have all the disadvantages - connected to the license plate light. For Plus+ (camera power, RCA trigger cable) connect them to Plus+ of your reversing light. 1. Turn on your camera. 2. Apply power to the red wire coming out of the RCA wire that should (usually) connect to the purple trigger wire on the radio. So when the reversing lights come on, the camera gets power and the radio switches to the rear window. Last but not least, turn on your headlights and see if the LEDs on your license plate are lit. If they are on then everything is fine, now turn off the headlights and check if the LEDs have gone out. IF they always didn't properly disconnect the plus + lines with you
