We seem to use a lot of bowls this size for soup, cereal, leftovers, salads and simply needed more. I have hunted in the past without success for bowls that didn’t get hot in the microwave since they are often used for reheating something, and I don’t know how I stumbled upon these bowls this time, but they have finally solved that problem! I think I looked at them closely because I also like the idea of using items that are kinder to the earth and these fit that bill. Because they’re made from wheat straw, I think I also don’t have to worry about micro plastics getting into our food. But truly, my favorite point is that my food heats faster and more thoroughly in the microwave than in any other container I own, and there is no problem holding the bowl when it is done. As for size, I like the 30 oz bowl for the most multipurpose use. Holds a whole can of soup easily, and allows oatmeal to bubble up without going over the brim. Easy to hold and wash. Love them!
