I actually bought this to replace the cable on my headset because to be honest it was cheaper than just a cable. Stupid I know Seems like a great deal as I loved this headset and you can't beat $13 for a headset that would normally cost over $80. However, mine seems to have found an earbud with a broken latch, so it's not staying in top shape. If I ever need to use it, it probably won't matter much, but be aware that updated headsets may not be perfect. Everything else is fine, even the controller adapters came with it, so I'm happy. But again, I just unplugged the cable from this one, connected it to my current set and put it away.
