Review on 🐾 Convenient and Spacious Dog Mate Large Dog Doors for Easy Pet Access by Natasha Boulden

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Best Weatherproof Door

I live in the Pacific Northwest and often keep various dogs for friends and family when they travel, so I know my stuff about dog doors! Over the years I have tried different brands and sizes of dog doors in different homes. Some broke. Some chewed. Some flapped in the wind. Some were quite expensive. Dog Mate is my favorite brand so far because it's reasonably priced, easy for dogs to get in and out of, can withstand bumps from noisy mutts, and most importantly, durable fluffy insulation around the valve perimeter that actually keeps the wind and snow out. & Rain. It's not the easiest of setups, but I figured you could too. I just installed a new tailgate and upgraded from medium to large. The medium sized door was installed 7 years ago. I cleaned it and gave it away as it is still in very good condition. Large size can now accommodate small and large dogs. Today I see Cocker Spaniels, Puggles, Tiny Boston Terriers and Big Labradoodles and all these crazy mutts use it with no problem. If I have to lock the dogs outside and use the safety slider and pegs, the dogs will run inside and try to get in. Nobody has broken through yet. I have never written such a long review. DogMate is a better door than the expensive ones.
