They were extremely easy to install. They come with an adapter that screws straight into an old socket, or if it's a new installation this adapter slips out for a standard orange LED plug. I take the 3000k and they seem a lot hotter to me but still look great. If you are looking for the same base color as the old style lamps, you can choose 2700K, but 3000K gives more light with a similar color. I'm sure they will be brighter the night you go. Also, I added a Lutron Caseta dimmer switch when adding. I installed the bulbs with the original master switch first and they worked great. They work equally well with the Lutron switch for on/off and dimming. Great LEDs at a great price. I have 4 other lamps to replace in my house and I will definitely use them if I go ahead and renew them.
