I installed 8 of these in the hallway and bathroom. The color temperature of 3000K is ideal - not too yellow and very little blue. That's a good bright light. The fixture was easy to install in the 5-inch body, but required slight flexing of the springs to allow flush mounting to the ceiling. They work well with a standard LED lamp dimmer switch. I bought a set of four lamps in April, installed all four lamps and one failed after 6 weeks of normal use. I contacted a representative via live chat to ask if I could get a replacement bulb and was told to contact the manufacturer as it has been over 30 days since my purchase. If I bought this item from a hardware store and returned it because it doesn't work they would accept a return I think. I have returned items to Costco and Bed Bath & Beyond and they accept returns (often at store cost)

2 out of 12 died in 2 years. Found a way to get warranty service as the warranty is 5 years after finding an incomprehensible spot on the Amazon site. Replaced her. All is well. A few months later, 3 more failed. At this point I was embarrassed to ask for more replacements. So I just bought a few more. The photo shows a comparison to the previous CFL light which was relatively yellow and although in the photo it's hard to As you can see it wasn't nearly as bright. If you want less 'white' light I would recommend the 3000K option but they are perfect for what we wanted in our kitchen. And they were only marginally more expensive than replacement CFL bulbs. They were extremely easy to install. They come with an adapter that screws straight into an old socket, or if it's a new installation this adapter slips out for a standard orange LED plug. I take the 3000k and they seem a lot hotter to me but still look great. If you are looking for the same base color as the old style lamps, you can choose 2700K, but 3000K gives more light with a similar color. I'm sure they will be brighter the night you go.
