These steps are AWESOME! We bought these for our wooden staircase to give our dogs some grip, especially the older one as he was very afraid of slipping in his older years. I am incredibly surprised that these steps are so easy to install - just remove the pad and place on top of the step - but what really impressed me is that these steps do NOT move AT ALL when multiple people and dogs are on and go. steps taken during the day; however, they can be pulled out without leaving any residue and are very easy to clean. My dogs shed a lot and I was afraid hair and other things would get caught in the caterpillar carpet, but everything is easy to clean with the suction attachment on my vacuum cleaner; This is important to note as I bought these splints because they are machine washable but luckily I don't think I'll need to do this very often after seeing how well they remove dirt. I highly recommend these protectors and commend Eden Products for making protectors that stay in place, are inexpensive and are very easy to clean.
