Mosquito Noise Wall Chargers

I am very disappointed with this product. I used it for a short time before realizing it was making a very annoying high pitched sound when turned on. It sat in my desk drawer for about a year. I am not satisfied with this product. Is this a typical issue one might encounter, or did I receive a version that doesn't exist?
