Review on Airaid 523 188 AIRAID Intake System by Alex Webster

Sorry for the voice in the desert but this product (good as it is) was not primed on my 2016 Nissan Pro-4x as intended. I have used Airaids on previous vehicles with amazing results (Wrangler 2007, Wrangler 2013). I also used a complete K&N kit on a 2011 Grand Cherokee, but with the K&N Hemi engine it was a pleasure to drive, so no increase in fuel consumption per gallon. This time the Airaid caused a choppy idle and my MPG dropped from 16.1 to 14.6. I drive like an old man so I didn't ride the 4.0 liter engine. Second, the landing isn't up to par. There must be a large gap where the new case meets the base of the old case, and hot air is sucked in from the engine bay. Overall Airaid usually gets a 5 star system but not this time. I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 because I know Airaid's quality is not suitable for this app.
