Review on πŸ–¨οΈ Enhanced Micro Direct Extruder for Creality Printers by Omar Svagera

A lot of tweaking is needed to get good prints

I bought this as an "upgrade" for my Ender 3v2 hot end and extruder. First, I've never gotten a better print than what the stock hotend and extruder gave me. In fact, the quality has gone down. It got better, but I spent HOURS tweaking the settings and figuring out what this thing wants to see. I lost ALL adhesion on the first layer (after re-leveling the bed and resetting the z-offset). Changed to stock, no problems with the clutch. I'm not sure what this is about, but it was a huge fight. I had to move on to the glue stick, then the PEI sheet, which is amazing. Then extraction settings. Far from the recommended MicroSwiss settings. I use a fifth of their recommendations for range and higher speeds. It's very well done - no question about it. My only regret is that I didn't go that route. Created much-needed frustration and expense due to wasted prints. I was ready to ditch MicroSwiss and go back to stock. I probably should still do this as I'm getting better results. I just hate spending so much money to take a step back in quality.
