If you use the standard mounting holes with a square HU, the HU will not sit flush with the faceplate. It's functional, but it didn't seem good enough to me. Modifying the holes with a Dremel tool so the HU is flush with the faceplate greatly improved the look. I had the same gap mentioned below but it was not visible to the driver or passenger around the corner. The color matching depends on the lighting. In low light it looks like the perfect combination of light gray on the underside of the dashboard. In bright light it looks like the perfect combination with the darker gray of the top of the dashboard. (strange!) Not bad overall, but it could be better.
