Not suitable for optical drives

Just yesterday I got this product to convert all my old physical DVDs to digital and I put in my first film, it recognized it for about a second and now it doesn't work . DVDs are unreadable and my computer no longer recognizes the drive. I changed ports, disconnected and reconnected. Rested my computer, changed hard drives. etc. I'm giving this back for something that doesn't stop working once I start using it! Don't waste your time or money on it!
