Love the idea of the weatherproof junction box! The trailer wiring fails over time, which greatly simplifies the task. Easy to use and I will buy another one for my other trailer. Everyone else has mentioned it - connect the trailer's green wire to the brown junction box and the brown to green, connect the trailer's yellow wire to the red junction box. (The yellow junction box is for reverse). Do not use tear-off protection! It's an emergency; When connected properly, it will provide battery power to the trailer brakes if it unexpectedly separates from the trailer. I tested it and it seemed to work fine, but I didn't like how the plastic pin came back. So I tested it a second time and it fell apart completely. Probably not just this one, the original for the trailer rusted in 3 years and failed on my test. Replace them every few years but I don't trust that.
