I bought this to "hardwire" a DVR. I installed it under the dash which freed up my standard auxiliary power outlet, but more importantly it made the install cleaner. Much cheaper than buying a DVR cable set and was very easy to install. Connect the red wire to the line from the auxiliary motor or the battery (depending on the characteristics of the camera) and connect the black wire somewhere to ground (screw, wire, etc.). Done, just like that. Of course, this works well for any other items that require an outlet, such as: B. cooler, charger, navigation box, etc. I highly recommend this connector. The cables are long enough for the job, with easy-to-connect ends and a built-in fuse.
