Came in plastic bags, probably used and returned because the edges of the bars and the surface of the base were beaten and worn. I didn't see any broken stitching or anything but I was annoyed trying to find a reflector that wasn't a sticker and hoping it was a piece of plastic but it was a dull strip of stickers. Guess I can't complain about $13. In terms of performance, this reduces rear impact. I had a stock Trek seat, very narrow and hard, and I don't ride a hybrid. This seat cushions impact about as much as the front end with the suspension fork. Not sure how many springs are needed and how much padding that is not soft but pliable. Now there is no pain when driving. It looks perfect for the lettering on my bike. This is great value.
