Great Product - Kitchen & Bathroom Lights

First of all I love this item. But secondly, it only delivers half of the declared performance. Warmer water and higher pressure gives better performance, so at my pressure of 78psi and water temperature of 78 degrees, I should expect 130 gallons per day according to the correction factors listed in the manual. The best he could do was 68 gallons a day, which is about half. In my experience they should rate this at 50 gpd not 100. Their support was excellent - they sent 3 different reverse osmosis membranes thinking I was only getting defective ones. If performance is important to you, it might be worth considering another product, although I'm wondering if any of these can actually meet my needs. I use it for brewing myself. I need to be able to store it indoors but take it outside to connect to a faucet to make RO-DI water, so I need portability, light weight and compactness; it's all of that. Since it's only used sporadically, it's also really nice that the cartridges can be taken out and kept in the fridge. Many systems have hoses that will willy-nilly and are bulky and heavy. This thing has the shortest hoses and is very compact and lightweight. Easy to set up, easy to use, produces water with no dissolved solids, which I think is a reasonable rate. Cartridges are actually not that difficult to insert once you have the machine installed; Storage caps can be tricky because they are so short, but they can be managed. For years I had a machine that used canisters and was difficult to maintain, not to mention heavy and bulky. Screw-on cartridges are a big improvement. It will be more expensive to maintain, but I think the convenience is worth it. Since critical cartridges can also be refrigerated, they are likely to last much longer. As I said, I love this thing and would heartily recommend it if you can live with about half the performance it claims.
