When I first installed an SSD, the sequential write speed reached 3000MB/s. Now that it's almost full (88%), the sequential write speed has dropped to 1000MB/s. I used to have a Samsung 970EVO 500GB and this drive was fast but I was struggling with capacity as you can see as I've already used 88% of 2TB. The performance difference is imperceptible to me, so instead of a fast and stable speed, I would go for a capacity of 2 TB. (1000 MB/s sequential write is still enough for me). I don't do photo/video editing or heavy I/O tasks, I just use the drive for my OS, gaming, web browsing/email, Discord, etc. Using the Final Fantasy XIV Shadowbringers test, my average boot time was around 14, 5 seconds, which is very good considering my friend who has a 1TB Samsung 980 Pro has a total boot time of around 11.5 seconds. constant write speed. I assume the drive will perform better when it gets full (they have the same specs at 2TB). Overall I am satisfied with my purchase.
