Review on 🚗 BOSS Audio Systems 612UA Single Din Multimedia Car Stereo - MP3, USB Port, AUX Input, AM/FM Radio Receiver (No CD DVD Player) by Joe Comforti

I know it has a lot of negative reviews but I can't find any flaws I didn't expect. I was wary of buying it but for the price I thought it was worth the risk. This is my first radio installation and I fitted it to my 20+ year old truck without a wiring diagram so it took me quite a while to figure out the wiring, not on the radio but on my truck. At one point I finally decided to check the radio on the truck because to be honest I didn't know what I was doing and I wasn't sure if the radio was working or not. I grabbed my 12v power supply, plugged it in and everything seemed fine, but then the case got hot as hell from shorting out the speaker wires. I almost threw it away because who wants to set their car on fire, but it wasn't the radio's fault, it was my fault. Still a lot of trial and error and messy wiring, but I finally got it installed and so far so good. There is no excessive parasitic discharge on the battery and it doesn't get hotter than I expected and it has survived a very hot summer so far. I had to secure the mount somehow (with tape of course) and would be happier if there were easier ways to view my playlists, but for the price no complaints. I tested this with bluetooth/fm xmtter but mostly just used the SD card.
