Know what you're looking for - this knife may not be for you

I love to cook and my trusty stainless steel knife is starting to stick to my teeth. As much as I love using it, I wanted something different. I've tried a few different blade styles (anyone need a spare knife?) and this has now become my daily rudder. If you know how to use, sharpen and take care of it, you will have a lot of fun with this knife. Mine was very sharp, but it was very easy to switch from an X-Acto to a scalpel. And he maintains that lead with good care. Just watch your fingers! The large flat sides also allow you to scrape/scoop items from the cutting board right into the pot. I haven't tried it as a personal life saver, but I suspect the metal to wood ratio isn't ideal for keeping a person above the waves. Overall, for the price, this is one of the best investments I've ever made. It has paid for itself many times over in less than 6 months!
